Kat Von Doodle-icious This is my Absoultely Doodle-icious attempt at La Ink’s Kat Von D! To be honest, I’ve never followed the show, nor do I know anything about Kat Von D besides her mix of spanish, german and italian heritage, her make up line in sephora, and that she is a punk rocker. If you want to know more about her, then there’s google lol. I think she’s pretty cool having all those tattoos and I thought it would be a challenge for me to try and recreate them in the Fresh Doodle style. So please bare with the inaccuracy of her tattoos, I promise I did my best in getting really close lol. I’m no expert in Japanese culture and I don’t what the hell I was smoking while drawing this piece years back. I honestly have no clue if tigers and geishas in a painting makes sense at all lol! Frevolution: Common Ground There are two reasons why I consider this a special piece; 1) It’s my first piece for 2012! Yoohoo! 2) It’s my first installment on my ‘Frevolution’ project. Frevolution: Common Ground

There are two reasons why I consider this a special piece; 1) It’s my first piece for 2012! Yoohoo! 2) It’s my first installment on my ‘Frevolution’ project. A lot of firsts here huh! Holiday Commission: Aeacus Marine My last piece for 2011, I’m so psyched that I will no longer be putting ‘11 on my pieces and moving on to ‘12. The year has just passed by so fast lol. So about the piece, of all commissions I’ve had, this may be the most unique. Most work I’ve done are just regular portraits, but for this one client requested that I’d put him in a marine suit from the popular Blizzard game STARCRAFT 2, which I also play regularly lol. Half Mask For those who don’t know, this is Richard Harrow from one of the best HBO series Boardwalk Empire. He’s one of my favorite supporting characters and I think they should give him more story in the seasons to come. What I like about this character is that he carries this soft spoken and mysterious demeanor but at the same time he’s also dangerous and violent. I’m not telling any stories here, I have already spoiled the season 2 finale to a lot of people on my facebook, so that’s enough. lol. I highly recommend that you watch this series though, it’s one of the best out there! Enjoy guys! Walker ‘Walker’, as the people from the AMC’s hit series ‘The Walking Dead’ call them. I’m such a huge fan of the series and I’m quite pissed that they had to split season 2 and continue the other half on February 2012! The fans do not deserve to wait like this! Finish the damn series already! lol. I personally think that the costume designer or make up artists of these ‘Walkers’ did such a good job that these zombies look so real and unique. And the CG effects are just as good too! Props to the actors as well, as what I’ve heard from the Walking Dead director on ‘the Talking Dead’ show, they were quite picky with their actors and actually had classes for ‘zombie walking’ lol. Rock On Baby! Another side of me I’d like to share is my huge interest in music. Few years back during my college days I was part of a rock/alternative band playing guitars and had a couple of gigs here and there. It was a fun experience, which plays a huge role on what this piece is all about. For starters, the equipment I drew here is Fender Stratocaster(guitar) and a Marshall Amplifier(for those who don’t know what an amplifier is… it’s like a speaker lol). These are the actual stuff I use although I haven’t played in such a long time! But I’ll never forget those rock n’ roll days lol! on the side note, I made my Stratocaster a lefty, simply because I’m a lefty lol. and the kid/baby, uhm I don’t really know how he ended up here but he’s definitely cool lol. HELLSPAWN I’ve been asked so many times now, “Are you a pro? Do you do sequential arts? Would you like to do sequential arts? Are you comfortable doing sequential arts?” My initial answer was, “what is sequential arts? Sorry I’m a noob here” lol. To those who don’t know yet, sequential arts simply means graphic story telling or COMICS, comic books or comic strips lol. It does sound more intimidating, but yeah it’s just as simple as that. Point here is, as much as I love doing conceptual art, my style(often described as unique by most people hehe) and technique is still heavily influenced by comic art and it’s been getting a lot attention from writers and independent publishers. Ok so I’ve given it some thought and might as well give it a go, so here’s a warm up for you guys, Spawn! THORRR Another addition to my ‘Super Hero’ Fresh Doodle versions, THORRRRRRR!!!!! I just love saying it with the extra r’s lol. Although I had so much fun doing this piece, it is the only one that took me atleast 8 hrs to make, I have to admit it is pretty hard to get that metallic texture using the grungy watercolor effects that I use. The costume was inspired by the movie and the face I used is not exactly Chris Hemsworth, but resembles Triple H more from the WWE lol. I’m getting the hang of it and I might pump out one more or two super hero/villain artworks before I get back to my originals and conceptual work. Hope you guys like it! (hahahah) This piece right here is the ‘Beginning’, the ‘Inspiration’, the ‘Roots’, the first comic series that I’ve ever read and first to inspire me to hold a pen and doodle, Spiderman. I was a huge comic fan during my early teens and it plays as my biggest influence in whatever I draw, as you can tell by all the hatching. At that time Todd McFarlane(creator of Spawn) was the lead penciler of Spiderman, and from then on I considered him as one of the greatest.
