“Where to Kid?” - Rodimus Prime variant

Good morning friends! This is the variant version of my Optimus Prime piece with Rodimus “Hot Rod” Prime’s racing flames! Together with the regular edition, this will be featured tonight at Hero Complex Gallery’s show “Righteous Rides” in Los Angeles! If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and check out some other cool artworks by other fellow artists! This is also HCG’s grand opening of their gallery space so there a lot of surprises in store!

“Where to kid?”

An Absolutely Doodle-icious morning isn’t it? After all the teasers and sneak peeks, the Optimus Prime piece is finally done! I was invited once again by Hero Complex Gallery
to do a piece for their upcoming show “Righteous Rides and the Dudes Who Ride Them”, and the first thing that came to my mind for the subject is the badass Optimus Prime!
Show will take place this Friday May 3rd in their new space in LA, I congratulate them!

The whole process to this piece was not a pleasant one though, as SHIT does happen lol. To keep things short, a week’s worth of work went down the drain as the only working
file I had for Prime got corrupted when my photoshop crashed… The only solution I had then was to re-draw Prime in 3 days! Don’t ask me how I did
it, but I’m glad that with all the bad vibes going on I still found a way to get back and finish this in time! And the lesson here is, ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES! ^_^

I based this Prime on the 1st generation Transformers, Never liked the Michael Bay versions and I honestly think they looked like crap lol.

Good morning friends! This piece is inspired by Training Day starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke! Definitely one of my top 10 movies of all time! If you haven’t seen this movie yet, I suggest you do, Denzel Washington as Alonzo Harris is just f*cking awesome, truly deserves the oscar’s best male actor!

This is featured in the “Loaded Guns” show at Galerie F, Chicago, Illinois last March 22. The prints are frame and still up for display until the 1st week of April, if you’re in the neighborhood, stopy by if you can! ^_^

“Superhero Smackdown: Spidey vs Deadpool”

Commissioned Work.

This piece is 1/3 and last of the epic 3-piece superhero piece that I was commissioned to do. The idea behind this is to make 3 individual pieces that work on their own at the same time when put together in a certain way, comes out as one massive composition.

“Ready to go out?”

This artwork will be featured at “Get A Room” art show at the Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn NY this Friday 2/15/2013! Show covers artist’s different view of popular couples in the pop culture world!

There are so many couples to choose from but I just had to lock myself in with Mary Jane and Peter Parker! I also based it with the Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst Spiderman because I really loved their trilogy and the new spiderman just SUCKED so bad! LOL!

This will be an edition of 30 and will be available for sale at the opening night in Bottleneck gallery! I’ll be there to chat with you and other great artists in attendance.

“BETRAYED”

Based on my work in progress teases, I’ve been getting comments on what movie inspiration I’ve been working on, Sparctacus, Gladiator and even 300. The person in this piece is General Maximus of Gladiator!

This will be featured at the Hero Complex Gallery’s “Oscar Legends” show in SomArts Cultural Center in San Francisco, Feb 15 2013! Address is 934 Brannan St. SF, CA 94103. If you’re from the area, I highly recommend that you check it out!

The message behind the broken helm is Maximus’ personal feeling of being shattered and betrayed by the traitor, Commodus. Now if you haven’t seen Gladiator yet, you’re probably not from this planet lol, kidding. I’ve watched this movie like a hundred times and never get tired of it! One of the BEST movies ever made!

“The Battlefield”

Commissioned work: Samus Aran, Metroid vs Link, Legend of Zelda

Doesn’t this scenario remind you of Nintendo’s popular game Super Smash Brothers? I’ve been playing this game non-stop on my N64 during my younger years and I’ve never imagined myself doing a piece like this until someone commissioned me to do so. =D

I consider this one of my best works for a number of reasons; 1. it’s the first time I’ve actually done a fight scene since I started the Fresh Doodle, 2. Never thought my style would pull off mechanical suits and 3. my anatomy skills have been once again put to a test!

Enjoy guys, definitely a refreshing piece to look at! ^_^

“Pack of Wolves”

“Winter is Coming”, the Stark family tree

This is my attempt at the most popular house / family in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. This piece has been long due, I’ve always wanted to draw all of them I just never had the time nor any idea of how to present this awesome family. Not until I was approached by Bottleneck Gallery to submit a piece for their “The Gang Is All Here” show exhibit which opens tonight at Brooklyn, NY.
